We love to hear from the people that our pups adopt.

Dear Roxanne, We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all your help with our new puppy. It was a pleasure to meet you and all of your animals. It has been 10 days since puppy Seamus came to our home and he is doing great. He slept the entire 8 hour ride home from your house. As you will recall, we have a toddler in our house as well as a 4 year old golden and all have adjusted with no problems. The neighborhood kids love him and even those that are afraid of dogs are enjoying his gentle disposition. Seamus has adapted to our routines quickly. He is precocious and loving.....he likes to be right by our sides and in the middle of the action. By the third night, Seamus was sleeping the entire night in his crate. And, I am happy to say that for the most part he is house trained. Thank you again for your tireless efforts and expertise in initiating the potty training for your pups. It made a tremendous difference. Once again, thank you for everything. Regards, The Sullivan Family P.s. Your trick with the squirt bottle works fantastic
Hi Roxanne,  Bentley will be 3 in June. His is a small male like Harley, 75 pounds, perfect size for us. He's the easiest dog we've ever had. Sleeps in the hall between the girls rooms because he can't choose between them. He is a lamb and we love him to death.  Bentley was worth every penny, but I didn't realize it at the time. I was going out on a limb paying that much for a dog, but now because of his temperament I can say he was worth every penny and then some.
Best Regards,  Kelley Sewell
Yes, she does lead the life.....we love her so much!!.sometimes she cries in the morning (she is very vocal talks alot...) for one of us to get out of bed, we think she wants to go out, she actually wants to get in our bed....  The picture in the chair with my husband, (as she is a daddys girl) is where she does spend part of her nap during the day, also she finds her way there when something startles her. She thinks she is a lap dog...don't remember her weight, however she is on the smaller/petite side..which we like..  Our Maggie Mae is so sweet, a very affectionate dog... she loves to be touched, and massaged.  She is also very happy go lucky...just seems to love life, no matter what she/or we are doing. She is very excitable but yet very calm. She is also very obedient, I don't really recall teaching her NO, she just seems to KNOW.  Ann Marie
Hi Roxanne,   I wanted to let you know that we just love our puppy we purchased from you.  He is the best dog ever.  He just loves everyone and he gets along so well with the kids and other dogs in the neighborhood.  I want t thank you also for being such a responsible breeder and putting so much emphasizes on the health clearances in which all your dogs have.  Buying a quality well bred pup really make such a difference in so many ways. Michelle

Hi Roxanne,  Just wanted to share some photo's of Molly. She is the BEST!!! She's such a good puppy! And boy is she smart. At 13 weeks, she is housetrained, she can sit, stay, down, come, and give her paw on command. We just love her!!!     Molly's training is going great. She will make a very good therapy dog! She is also learning some obedience commands.  I'll update soon! We'll send updated pictures soon! Thanks! Sue and Dave  February 1, 2009---Update---"Hi Roxanne. hope things are good with you up in maine. molly is doing great...we were recently certified as a therapy dog team! Haven't done any visiting yet but Molly and i will be at the Boston Childrens Museum on June 20th representing Therapy Dogs. And she passed her Canine Good Citizens test in December. We're training now for her to earn her CD title next (it will be awhile). She is so smart!!!

Roxanne, Thought you might like to see a few pictures of Marley. He's doing great, and the family loves him. He's a great family dog - very loving and friendly. We've referred a few people to your kennel who have seen him and mentioned how good looking a dog he is. He's filled in the hole which was made when we lost Wills in September!
Best regards, Rich and Nancy Warren
HI ROXANNE, THE PUPPIES ARE DOING GREAT AND GETTING SO BIG.  JAKE REALLY LOOOOVES THEM ! HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.  TAKE CARE, JIM TRACEY AND THE BOYS!!
Hi Roxanne hope winter is treating you well!!!   Here are some pics of Max.  As you can see he is a couch potatoes at times and thinks he is 12lbs and can fit compactly on our lap instead of the 60+ lbs he is.  He has the best disposition!  He definitely favors me over everyone else (makes me feel special) even though its probably only because I am the one to feed and walk him.  Everyone asks me if he is done the puppy stage of chewing, hyper ect. and I tell them he never chewed one thing and he is so even with energy.  I don't think I've loved a dog more than Max (seriously).  Thank you so much for caring about your own dogs because the outcome is wonderful.  For anyone considering getting a Golden from you please let them know I would be more than happy to give them a glowing reference.       Amy
Hello Roxanne, I thought that you would like to see a recent pic of Auburn to show you how big she is getting.  She is doing awesome!  Getting us up early on weekends though! :) She is in puppy school.  She is really good at sitting and she is fully house trained. She is getting better on the stay.   If you notice in one of the pictures...she rings a bell when she needs to go out.  It is sooo cute. Liza and Brett
Roxanne, Jala is doing just great -- she has the sweetest disposition and is very loving & snugglely. She gets along great with her "sister cat" Jaz!  I am so happy with her -- she is just what I had hoped for! We have gone thru Beginner Obedience & will start Intermediate in March -- my Doggie Daycare provider offers the classes -- she is very smart & learns fast. She weighs 45 lbs. at 6 months old.  Of course, she sleeps with Jaz & I -- her head either tucked in my neck or on the other pillow!! She is the best & has enriched my life greatly -- does a great job filling that hole left from losing my Maggie.  I had her spayed 1/29/09 & she came thru without any issues or problems. She is a big hit at the Vets-- the Techs all love her & give her much attention!  I go on your website often -- sounds like you will have a busy Spring.  Can't wait to see the new little ones! I'll put one of your cards up on my Vet's board. Take care, & thank you so much for all the joy-- Marge
Hey Roxanne,   Just some very early pictures. Buck is doing great. I'll send you some more the next time we upload pictures from the camera. He is 10-16 weeks in these photos. We love and adore him, and he is the star at the local dog parks.   Matt
ok,.. this is the only serious shot you'll ever get of Monte.  He does NOT stop long enough to take a pic and most on this new cam are of him in midair. I kid you not!! He's a gem.  This one pic should just be of Monte looking a bit like Landon.  He's even more beautiful than this in person!  Melissa
Hey Roxanne: Great to hear from you.  I just started class last week and Calli starts this week.  She wants to play outdoors all the time.  She snowmobiles with us too.  I really want to bring her over to visit so let me know what days are best for you. Keep in touch. Karen
Hi Roxanne, I am so sorry it has taken so long for me to get in touch with you and send you a picture of Bella....We have been non-stop since Bella arrived....I didn't even have time to do Christmas Cards this year! (I did get a new camera for my birthday in November, so when I finally figured out how to get the pictures on our computer to send them out, the holidays had passed). I've attached a copy of the picture that we finally ended up sending out to friends and family after the holiday rush had passed.  Bella is doing wonderful. She is a sweet girl and is loved by everyone! She loves to snuggle and is perfectly content to lay with you in the recliner and hang out. From the first week she came home with us, we knew the recliner was going to become "her" spot. As soon as she was able to jump up, she would sneak up there as soon as she saw that it was empty. She is definitely excited about all of the snow we've gotten and loves to play outside with Norah, although she thinks that the pompom on the top of Norah's hat is a snowball she can tug on... Anyway, hope all is well up in Maine, and hope Bella's mom and dad are doing well! Jen
Roxanne,  I just wanted to let you know Emmitt is doing great.  He is well over 60 pounds and not even 6 months old yet.  Everyone guesses he will be close to 100 pounds when he is done growing.  He has also made is television debut already and will be one of the Golden faces of Downeast Toyota for years to come.  We just finished basic obedience class with him and he did great.  Generally the class is only offered to dogs 6 months and older, but Emmitt was able to start when he was only 4 months and was possibly the best student in the entire class.  He catches on very quickly and I think he enjoys all the attention.  Emmitt does fairly well with knowing what is his to chew on and what isn’t his, I did surrender a pair of old Crocs to him.  There are times he forgets, but for the most part, he is doing really well in the house.  He was house trained within 2-3 weeks of him coming home which was great.   Emmitt has really been a great dog and I can only guess he will be even better as he gets older.    Thank you, Jon and Kara
Hi Roxanne, Hope you and your family are doing great. Just thought we would send you a few photos of Baxter. He is doing really great and we are so happy to have him in our family. He is very social and gets a lot of attention wherever we go. He is almost 5 months now and we love him more and more every day. He likes to go to this one park near our house where he can run loose with other dogs, and you can be sure Baxter will introduce himself to every dog owner as well as every dog he meets. He is well adjusted to his crate and never fusses about that anymore. He does not like to go for walks on concrete (pavements) so we have to drive to a park every time we want to go for a walk, unless we just run with him in the back yard. He loves it when we chase him around and try to steal an empty gallon milk jug (one of his favorite toys) from him. We used to be able to trap him, but not anymore. He is too fast. Well we wish you a lovely holiday time and will keep you updated on Baxter. All the best, John & ToveLucas, Mikael and Emma

Hi Roxanne- How are you? Just wanted to let you know that Bean is the most amazing puppy I have ever had. He is so smart and well-adjusted. He is a social dynamo, kind, touch, sweet and brilliant. I think he speaks English. I have had many puppies ( our own and fosters) and never seen a boy as good as he is. You have done an unbelievable job at breeding the perfect dog! He is 100% house broken, does not chew anything that is not his, comes immediately when he is called, rides in the back of the car without trying to get in the front, sleeps peacefully on our bed each night without bugging us, goes right into his crate when asked, gets on his bed and “settles” when asked, lets me clean his ear and wipe the mud off his paws when necessary and is the most loving cuddle bug in the world.  He is the light of our lives and we want to thank you so much! I have attached a few pictures. The ones of him with the lab was taken last week when I had a lab foster puppy for a week while she was waiting for her forever home which she went to Saturday. Boy was that chaos. The picture was what happened when I commanded them to ‘settle”.  The black springer is our Missy- they both like to cuddle and sleep on my feet when we watch TV at night. Please feel free to use me as reference if ever necessary. Best, Lori

Hi Roxanne, Just wanted to send you a quick note that even though it has only been two weeks... we "love, love, love" our new puppy who has been named Brody. We spent the entire four hours from your home to our friends home in MA calling out names... and the boys came up with Brody so they can call him "Bro" for short (as in my "brother"). He is an absolute dream. He quickly adjusted to our home, the routine and is truly an instant part of our family. He went for his second round of shots on Friday... he now weighs 15.20 lbs. The vet said he is great... very healthy. They also tested a fresh stool sample for worms... the results came back on Saturday - no problems. I found it comforting that the vet also wanted and was glad that we were giving Brody the Scientific Puppy formula food. I've attached two photos from our first week with him. The first one is Patrick holding Brody after his bath which he really enjoyed. The other is Brody sleeping in the family room on his pillow with the cloth that his brothers played with before we took him. I took more pictures on Saturday as we were playing in the backyard (he runs sooooo fast) but haven't downloaded them yet. I will send them as soon as I can. The boys can't believe how fast he is changing. He is so great. I love his personality. He is definitely one of the family. I hope all is well for you. Talk to you soon. -Carolyn Jones
