Hi-The first night went very well. The dogs slept better than I did. I had a coffee in the evening and was wide awake. then had trouble falling asleep I think because Lia was so close to me and her breathing was just different enough the sound that I wasn't used to. when I did fall asleep we all slept well, including Georgie who surprisingly took up his usual spot on my pillow. Today he's trying really hard to avoid Lia. I woke up before the dogs this morning and they were both pretty darn comfortable. Lia is adjusting just fine-playing with Gretchen's toys and not sharing them very well, but Gretchen just goes and gets another one. I left them alone this morning for church and grocery shopping-about 3 hrs and they were fine. Lia is never far from me and that's just fine. I think I am going to give her a middle name of Frances after my Mom. Hallie's middle name was Frances and Gretchen's middle name is Mary after my Aunt--Mom's sister. Aunt Mary should be home from Florida tomorrow and will see Lia's picture in her email. All is well and Lia seems contented. She's getting plenty of attention. In a couple of weeks, maybe after the new pups are born, I'd like to have you & Les for dinner some night when I'm off- Later, Jo
Hi Roxanne-Sending you picture of Lia taken about 6:15 pm after we all had a nap on the bed, a trip outdoors, dinner washed down with plenty of water. Then I introduced her to the supply of nyla-bones which can be found almost anywhere in the house. She will definitely be the alpha dog for a while at least. A very slight growl and curls of the upper lip send a message to Gretchen but they seem to be settling in with each other fine. Right now they're both beside me here at the computer. THANK-YOU! THANK-YOU! THANK-YOU!!! Come see her anytime.

Hi Roxanne:
Tinkerbelle is such a great dog. We are so glad she is part of our family. She is still doing very well. Today, I started her transition from Science Diet to Innova. That should be completed by next weekend.
We are letting her off leash more often. She is very quickly learning where the boundries are; however, I do not plan to let her out without supervision for the time being.
We have taken several pictures so thought you might like to see how well Zara and Tinkerbelle are getting along.
What is the name of the vitamins you were giving Tinkerbelle?
Take care,
Lisa & Dave
David on left side with Tinkerbell. David and Lisa bought a
female puppy from me from Tinkerbell's first litter. They fell
in love with Tinkerbell and told me they wanted her when we
retired her. After Tinkerbell had her second/last litter they got
her. She lives only 15 miles from us:}
Dear Roxanne,
Carl and I are writing to thank you for Sophia. We can't believe what a wonderful dog she is. As you can imagine the joy we get from her in our lives is unbelievable. She has settled in very well and is spoiled
already.
We get up about 6:00 AM every morning and go for our morning walk every day. She now really looks forward to it. Your right she loves her peanut butter (we only feed her natural), and she loves
her cheese (low fat). We are now practicing ball and she will go in her basket for her toys. She is so
smart and eager to please.
We really enjoyed our visit with you when we picked up Sophia. She was well worth the wait. We love the temperament of your dogs and realize the time and love you give to them.
We are really excited that we are also getting one of Sophia's puppies. Sadie will be great company for Sophia. I'll talk to you soon about coming back to Maine to pick up Sadie.
Love,
Maureen and Carl
